Purchased with Upgrade Offer Review by Richard
    Overall
I purchased this with the upgrade offer where you send in the cover of an old edition. Process was quick and painless. I would highly recommend.

Book content is excellent. It is my single most important reference for preparation and the PE Exam. This is a must have.

One of my colleagues taking the exam has the 11th edition. We both plan on taking the construction PM section, and the construction section is vastly expanded in this newer (13th) edition.

    Must Have Review by Nicholaus

This text is a must have for the PE exam. It is a great overall reference. It will also be of use to you later on in your career. (Posted on 8/16/12)

A good overall reference manual. Review by Ian
    Overall
I purchased this book to use in preparation of the Civil PE Exam. It is what it claims to be, a good reference manual for engineering concepts. I have only worked through the Introduction, Topic I, & Topic II, so far. The author recommends 6 months and 300 hours of study time with the book. The book is very well structured and planned out. He provides good context and information about the PE exam in the introduction. It will take some time using the book to get comfortable with its format and where/how things are located. It is also only a Reference Manual. While it does have example problems after each topic, I wouldn't use this as your sole study preparation. Only drawback, if it is one, is the author tends to go into almost too much depth at times. It seems like is a good product (we will see after I take the exam) and I would recommend it.
