You’ve passed the NCIDQ! Now what? You may need to start getting CEU credits.

Studying endlessly and passing all three sections of the NCIDQ is a huge accomplishment, but it isn’t the end of a designer’s learning. Shortly after you get licensed, registered, or join ASID or IIDA, you’ll need to begin getting CEU credits for continuing education requirements. If you’re in a state where it isn’t required, you’re alright for now, but it may soon be. I’ve gathered a short list of free on-line, IDCEC pre-approved, interior design continuing education providers. If you don’t need them now, keep this list for later. If you practice in a smaller town, or an area where there aren’t very many local opportunities for CEU credits (like me), you’ll really appreciate the chance to get some free credits on-line.

Interior Design Magazine, good list of courses, wide variety, most 0.1 CEUs

Interiors & Sources Magazine, wide variety of topics, only some free, some at minimal cost, typically 0.1 CEU each

AEC Daily On-line Learning Center, big list of IDCEC pre-approved courses, most 0.1 or 0.15 CEUs

Herman Miller, furniture related courses, several on-line courses mixed in their list of presentations, 0.1 CEU each

Ultron Solutia, DataSpec Interactive Education, one big course, everything about carpet, 0.9 CEUs

Anyone who knows of additional sources for free on-line interior design CEUs, please add the information to this list.
