    Detailed book Review by Laureano
I like that you can find many definitions in this book. Maybe add more concepts. (Posted on 8/30/2018)
A MUST HAVE for the Civil PE Exam Review by Amazon Customer
This is a MUST HAVE for the Civil PE Exam. There are so many topics covered in the AM, breadth portion of the exam, that you are sure to come across some terms that you have not yet encountered or are not familiar with. Due to the specialized content, you are unlikely to find most of these terms in a standard dictionary. I tried a handful of other "Scientific" and "Egneineering" dictionaries but this is hands down the best for the PE Exam.

Don't miss easy questions on the PE exam, Review by Amazon Customer
because you don't know the definition of a word!
You are sure to come across terms that you have never heard before, and the answer will be apparent as long as you can figure out what the problem statement is asking. (Posted on 2/26/2018)
Great for the PE exam Review by Amazon Customer
I was skeptical when told to purchase this for studying the PE exam but have been pleasantly surprised with how handy it's come in already. It's a great reference and though I was originally planning to sell it back after my exam, I will keep it. I'm happy to have a quick reference at my desk for Civil Engineering.

Great book for my engineering library Review by Amazon Customer
I bought the book to help me in defining terms that I was unfamiliar with while taking the PE exam. I used the book a few times during my exam and quite possibly helped in getting a few questions correct. This book is also a great addition to my engineering library at my office and would recommend it to any practicing water resource engineer.

This is an ABSOLUTE must! Review by Amazon Customer
If you are taking the PE Civil-Water Resources exam, you need this book! The people that make the test (evil NCEES) know what is in your Lindeburg book, so they aren't going to give you freebie questions directly from that resource. I got a few answers right out of this book for the October 2015 exam, none of those answers were in the Lindeburg nor the Goswami books. This book was only around $50, in the grand scheme of it, you've already invested so much time and paid so much, why not spend just a little bit more? One question is worth $50 to me, IMO. You can be frugal in any other part of your life, but this book is essential for passing that exam. I swear by it.

The book is definitely a dictionary format, no sample questions as someone reviewing earlier said. It clearly says dictionary and doesn't try to be anything else. It is well organized in alphabetical order and has so much in it. I spent the last week before the exam just skimming through this book. I learned a bunch of new terms that I had never seen before. It is a nice hardcover, solid sized book. Yes, you're going to be carrying a lot of stuff into your exam, but don't skimp on this.

I personally took the Test Masters review class (in Texas, not sure if it is offered elsewhere in the country) and I took their binder and broke it into subjects and made new binders: Water/Wastewater/Hydrology, Geotech, Structures, Hydraulics, Transport/Engineering Econ. From there, I had someone's School of PE notes, and I put them in my binders as well. I took a Geotech textbook from college into the exam that helped me answer at least 3 problems straight from the text. I also had a Hydrology and Environmental book from college that easily got me 8 questions in the afternoon exam. I brought the Goswami and Lindeburg references and maybe got 2 questions of those as well. It all sounds like a lot, and it was annoying to cart around, but taking an 8 hour exam sucks regardless. This book helped with both the morning and the afternoon. Even if the definition you're looking for doesn't give you the answer, it will put you on a better path to finding the answer in one of your other books/notes.

Oh, and I just found out that I passed! I got an 86%! I'm glad I NEVER have to do that again. (Posted on 2/26/2018)
    Pretty adorable Review by Jesus
Having these definitions will definitely help in the theory section of any exam. Really great resource to have while taking the PE and not bulky like many other books out there. (Posted on 10/10/2017)
I see it is very recommended Review by Hazim
The dictionary is very helpful, as it is highly recommended by some co-workers. (Posted on 3/9/2015)
