Missing and Differing Information Review by Kevin
This book is okay, but only prepares you for about 80% of the California Surveying Exam. A better general reference than test reference, perhaps. Its table of contents does not align with the test plan, and that was an uneasy discovery that I think had more to it.

It completely omits Aerial Photogrammetry, a listed topic, of which there were multiple questions on a recent test. Its coverage of construction staking presents staking standards different from those on the test as well. I was limited in my preparation time, and only worked with this text. There are clearly different ways to stake, but you're buying a test reference to present the way you'll be tested on.

Other than that, I think this was reasonably comprehensive and effective. My rating reflects the missing material and the extra work to correlate this content to the actual test plan. (Posted on 7/12/2018)
