Seismic Design Solved Problems (SESP7), 7th Edition

New Edition. Comprehensive Practice in Seismic Design Concepts, Methods, and Standards

Seismic Design Solved Problems provides comprehensive practice for both the California Civil Seismic Principles exam and the NCEES Structural Engineering (SE) exam. 360 multiple-choice problems cover all exam subjects, including basic seismology, applications of codes and standards, and design details. The variety of problem types, topics, and complexities is representative of the actual exam. Problems in both qualitative and quantitative formats are included, and solutions use the same codes and standards that will be needed on exam day. Step-by-step procedures are used to solve numerical problems, and detailed explanations are given for qualitative problems.

Try something else Review by Tyman
I felt the questions were very elementary level. I'm unsure if this is what to expect from the actual CA PE Civil Seismic test, but I really expected more from these review problems. In addition, I found dozens of mistakes. I'm glad I have a semi-knowledgeable background with seismic design because some of the problems would have led me to incorrect design solutions, which ultimately could have effected the outcome of my CA PE Civil Seismic test results. I also felt many questions were very vague and didn't give enough information to inform the reader exactly the problem was asking for. I've used PPI for other practice problems and design references, and I can honestly write that these practice problems are the worst.
