Practice Problems for the Mechanical Engineering PE Exam (MEPP13), 13th Edition

Comprehensive Practice and a Thorough At-Home Review for the Mechanical PE Exam

Practice Problems for the Mechanical Engineering PE Exam contains over 850 problems that will reinforce your knowledge of the topics presented in the Mechanical Engineering Reference Manual. Over 300 new stand-alone, multiple-choice problems are designed to be solved in six minutes or less. These demonstrate the format of the NCEES Mechanical PE exam, and focus on individual engineering concepts. The remaining 550 problems are longer and more complex, challenging your skills in identifying and applying related engineering concepts.

"A 6-minute zinger illustrates the exam format. The harder problems teach you engineering." -Michael R. Lindeburg, PE

Solutions are clearly written, complete, and easy to follow. U.S. customary and SI units are equally supported, and units are meticulously identified and carried through in all calculations. Frequent references to figures, tables, equations, and appendices in the Mechanical Engineering Reference Manual will direct you to relevant support material.

Practice problems require enormous time and effort Review by Mitch
Provide guidance to students to begin working practice problems as soon as materials received.
Also. Need more test feedback from the 30% first time not pass as well as 70% pass students.
Types of problems seen, which of 3 afternoon specialized tests taken with advice and pass rates first time taken.

Definitely Worth It Review by Customer
Going through this book from one end to the other was great preparation for the exam. Plus, having the sample problems in front of me bailed me out in a few instances. Get this and the big reference manual textbook... its worth it. (Posted on 5/7/2015)

I would recommend this book Review by Customer
So far, this has been a huge help. This review, if done thoroughly, is more than substantial for PE preparation. I find myself disagreeing with the solutions method but more often than not a practical approach is not in the spirit of methodical engineering calculations. Intuition is not tough in school, and everything the author has used in his publication is. I would recommend this book. (Posted on 3/19/2015)
