Stephen Andrew
has taught review courses for the mechanical engineering
PE exam and the Fundamentals of Engineering exam for many years. For more
than a decade, he has worked in professional practice as a consultant in
the analysis and prevention of failures. He has examined failures in a range
of industries, including oil and chemical production, food processing, transportation,
and power generation. He is the coauthor of many papers and a book on transit
buses. Currently, he serves as a Mechanical Engineering Advisor for Professional
Publications Inc.'s Passing Zone. He is also the presenter for an FE video
review course based on his PE Review course. Stephen holds BS and MS degrees in
mechanical engineering from Purdue University.

Kimberly Cameron, MS, Ph.D, PE

|
|
Kim Cameron
graduated from Princeton in 1999 with a mechanical engineering degree and certificates (minors) in engineering physics, applied matematics and materials science. She received her doctorate in mechanical engineering from Stanford in 2005 with a minor in materials science and engineering. She was awarded fellowships from NSF, DoD and Lucent Technologies. Since graduating from Stanford she has worked in the mechanics and materials group at Exponent where she provides consulting services on a variety of engineering problems.

Silvino Cruz
has taught for PPI since 1995. He has over 20 years of experience in the analysis, design, construction, and project management
of various industrial, health care, educational and commercial electrical power, control, telecommunication, signal, fire alarm and lifesafety systems.
Currently, he works at ATI Architects and Engineers in Danville. He graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical
Engineering degree and licensed as a professional engineer in California. He has been an active member of IEEE since 1987.

Dennis Dahlquist

design, and system design and analysis. In addition to teaching PE and FE

and junior college levels. He is active in the IEEE, the National Society

papers on engineering and how to pass the professional licensing exams.

Ernest Kim, MSEE, Ph.D

|
Ernie Kim has taught the Fundamentals of Engineering exam review courses for many years. A licensed electrical engineer in California, Ernie had more than a decade as a designer in opticla fiber transmission, radio frequency, and analog circuits prior to his teaching career as a full time tenured member of the faculty at the University of San Diego. He has continued his practice through both research and an active consulting practice in product design and development, prototype design, and manufacturing test. He hold memberships in the IEEE, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the California Society of Professional Engineers. He has published papers and made presentations at international conferences on engineering design.
Ernie earned BSEE from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and MSEE and Ph.D.
degrees in electrical engineering at New Mexico State University.

Dr. Atkhem Al-Manaseer
is Professor and Chair of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering
at San Jose State University. He has more than 22 years of teaching experience. He holds professional
engineering licenses in England and Canada, has lectured in many countries. He is is the author of a textbook on
reinforced Concrete Design using the ACI 318-05 code and has published more than 80 technical papers and reports
dealing with concrete technology, computer modeling of concrete structures, and several other civil engineering subjects.
He is currently a Fellow of the American Concrete Institute, the American Society of Civil Engineering, and the Canadian
Society of Civil Engineering.

Paul Kagoo is a registered Structural Engineer in the state of California and is a Project Structural Engineer at Englekirk Partners Consulting Structural Engineers in Los Angeles, California.
Paul has published a few papers in conference proceedings and is associated with the Structural Engineers Association of Southern California. He recently obtained LEED AP and received his Bachelor of Technology degree from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He has a Masters degree from the University of California, Irvine and occasionally teaches in the Department of Civil Engineering at the California Polytechnic University, Pomona.

Dr. Kurt McMullin
is currently an assistant professor of civil
engineering at San Jose State University. Kurt has published in many refereed
journals and participated in refereed and non-refereed conferences and engineering
reports. He is associated with the American Society of Civil Engineers and
the American Society of Engineering Educators. He has been licensed in California
as a civil engineer since 1991. Kurt received MS and PhD degrees from the
University of California at Berkeley in civil engineering.

engineer in California and is president and chief engineer of Sikaroudi
& Associates, Inc., a structural engineering firm involved in seismic
design and retrofit of existing and new buildings. Homy has over 15 years
of experience in project and construction management, construction documents
preparation, structural evaluation, analysis, design, and shop drawing review.
In addition, he has written and presented a number of publications on earthquake-resistant
design of irregular buildings. He earned a PhD in civil engineering from
King's College, University of London, in 1988. He had been an active member
of the Structural Engineers Association of Northern California (SEAONC)
since 1992.

Dr. Sung Hu
has taught review courses for the electrical PE exam
for PPI for several years. For the past 20 years, he has been a professor
of engineering at San Francisco State University. He has been involved in
IEEE and the American Society of Electrical Engineers. He has published
one book and close to 30 technical articles, primarily dealing with digital
systems and microprocessors. Sung obtained his MS and PhD degrees in electrical
engineering from Oregon State University.

Gregg Wagener,

Gregg Wagener
has taught several electrical PE exam review courses
for PPI. Gregg is a licensed electrical engineer in Califonia. Since 1982,
he has worked as an electronics engineer for the Naval Surface Warfare Center,
Port Hueneme, CA, performing in-service and development engineering for
all variants of the Navy's STANDARD Missile and development work on the
Evolved SEASPARROW Missile. Gregg has also written a teaching manual for
FE exam-review course instructors and a review manual for the electrical
discipline-specific FE examination. He currently serves as Electrical Engineering
and Fundamentals Advisor for Professional Publications Inc.'s Passing Zone.
He holds a BS in physics from the University of New Mexico and a MSEE from
the University of Southern California.

Richard Davis
is a principal engineer for the Nuclear Energy Division
of General Electric (GENE), where he has worked for more than 24 years in
a range of research and development positions. He has been an instructor
for PPI for many years. He is identified as a technical expert in irradiated
materials testing at GENE and is a major contributor to the development
of electrochemical potential measurement techniques and evaluations for
both in-plant and in-reactor laboratory test programs. He has published
several papers in technical journals pertaining to his research activities
at GE. Currently, Rich serves as a Mechanical Engineering Advisor for Professional
Publications Inc.'s Passing Zone. He earned BS and MS degrees in material
science from the Mechanical Engineering Department of the University of
California at Davis and performed postgraduate studies at Stanford University.

Jan Swider
is a licensed mechanical engineer in the State of California. He has over 20 years of experience in nuclear and aerospace industries. He is an expert in probabilistic risk assessment and he has been involved in design and analyses of many engineering systems from nuclear reactors to Space Shuttle Main Engines. Jan has taught in variety of disciplines including space power systems, spacecraft propulsion, and mechanical engineering PE exam review courses. He earned his MS and PhD degrees in nuclear engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).

She has 8 years experience as Designer, Urban Planner, and Construction Manager on projects throughout UAE, Oman, California , Illinois , New Jersey and Florida . She is also an accredited professional in Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED®). Umber has recently passed the 2006 ARE version 3.1. Her diverse experience through teaching-design-construction has conditioned her to be successful as an instructor.

Janika McFeely is a Designer for EHDD Architecture in San Francisco, a firm with a reputation for sustainable and energy efficient design. Janika coordinates the LEED® process for all projects in the office, which recently included two LEED® Platinum certified buildings. She also provides green building research support and educational classes for the firm. Janika has extensive experience in green building research including assisting in the development of the Canadian Green Building Council's LEED® Canada Version 1.0 Reference Guide while completing her Masters of Architecture at the University of British Columbia.

Alex Sinunu is an Assistant Project Manager at Pankow Builders in San Francisco . He served as an integral member of four fast track LEED® projects, and is a developer of Pankow Builders green strategic plan. He currently serves on the USGBC-NCC membership committee and is founder of GReMo, a green relocatable classroom company. Previous to working at Pankow, Alex was an instructor for over 10 years in a variety of fields. He has a Master's in Education and specializes in helping students achieve higher test scores.

Alex Spilger
Alex Spilger is a Sustainability Advisor and has worked on over two dozen diverse green building projects including the first LEED Platinum major renovation on the west coast. In addition to project management, he works to develop and implement educational programs and has taught LEED workshops to organizations such as Cal Trans, BKF Engineers and the local chapters of the USGBC and AIA. His experience includes facilitating LEED charrettes, researching green building technologies and policy, and managing both the people and the processes involved with taking projects through LEED Certification. Alex is an active member of the Northern California Chapter of the USGBC and serves on the USGBC Corresponding Committee for LEED-EB. In addition to green building, he has a year of experience as a volunteer teacher in a rural mountain village in Costa Rica with WorldTeach, a non-profit based out of Harvard University's Center for International Development. Alex is a LEED Accredited Professional, Certified Green Building Professional, HERS Rater and holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from UCLA.

Jourdan Younis has spent ten years in the construction industry, gaining an in-depth knowledge of construction techniques in all facets of commercial and residential construction. His degree in construction management from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo combined with his experience as a real estate developer has accelerated his familiarity with all aspects of the construction industry. Jourdan has led teams in the green initiative in his role as BCCI's Sustainability Manager and as a LEED® accredited professional. He is constantly discovering new ways to cost effectively build to green standards.
