Edition Differences: LSRM4
These are the differences between the Land Surveyor Reference Manual, 3rd ed. (LSRM3), and the Surveyor Reference Manual, 4th ed. (LSRM4).
- Seven new chapters on the Global Positioning System (GPS), geographic information systems (GIS), electronic distance measurement (EDM), land descriptions, job costing, economics, and ethics. These new chapters were introduced by a new author for this edition, George M. Cole, PE, PLS, who carries on the ground-breaking work of the late Andrew L. Harbin.

- Reorganization of the book's chapters into a structure designed to make it easier to learn the concepts.
