I've got a multidisciplinary degree, but I took the EE Power test as I've been working mostly EE, although I have compentancy in a number of mechanical areas, too. Am I restricted to practice soley EE Power because of the module I took, or is my subject compentancy up to me to decide? I looked through my state (Virginia) code and didn't see anything clarifying this.

I know you are going to hate this answer, but it really does depend on the state. Have you contacted the Virginia Board directly? If there is a legal opinion on record, they will tell you.

Freon, you're getting short! Keep your head down. I'm heading over to Camp Bucca in April, sounds like we'll pretty much pass each other in route.

Yes, I'm getting short. In fact I rolled my ankle rappelling out of bed this morning :)

And terminal leave starts in 155 days!

I've seeded the Houston area with resumes and I recieved a few e-mail responses, as well as a few phone calls to my wife. Not being availiable for an interview is a slight problem, but mostly I get the same verbage "Thanks for applying, contact us when you return to the US." But all indication are that the job market is good.

I found a list from 2003 on NCEES website:
http://www.ncees.org/licensure/licensing_requirements/2003_survey_results/e_08.pdf

In Virginia, I am restricted only by my areas of competancy, regardless of which discipline of the professional examination I took for licensure.

Looks like nearly every state in the US has this policy, except for Alaska, California, Guam, Hawaii, Nebraska, Nevada, Vermont and Wyoming which usually restrict PEs to the exam discipline.
